Heat mark on polished oak table? Remove with a half/half solution of turpentine and linseed oil. Dip a cloth in the mixture and rub gently over the white stain. Polish when dry. Got a fresh oil or grease stain on upholstery? Sprinkle with talcum powder, cornflour or fuller's earth. Rub well and leave until the stain is absorbed. Brush off and wipe with a damp cloth.
